Sheltered by mountains on all sides, the Dão is Portugal's region of quiet elegance. Granite soils and altitude give its wines something rare: power with restraint. This is the historic home of Touriga Nacional, and the granitic terroir polishes the grape into structured, floral reds that age beautifully for decades.
