Collection: Herdade Barranco do Vale

Founded in 2018, Herdade Barranco do Vale (“HBV”) is an agricultural project that aims to combine the preservation of a unique heritage with the adoption of best technological and management practices. Located in São Bartolomeu de Messines, in the heart of the Serra do Caldeirão, HBV spans approximately 100 hectares, comprising vineyards, cork oak groves, olive trees, carob trees, and strawberry trees. With two red grape varieties (Castelão and Aragonez), six white varieties (Arinto, Alvarinho, Antão Vaz, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier), and Negra Mole (white and red), HBV currently markets 15 wines (two roses, eight whites, and five reds), including four Great Reserves and eleven Reserves. Each year, its back labels feature a letter written to Grandfather Ramiro, a simple tribute to the person who started this journey. In 2023, it launched its first GREAT RESERVE wines. Till today, it has won 62 awards in regional, national, and international competitions and received numerous recognitions from the specialized and general press in Portugal and abroad.
