Collection: Porto Réccua Vinhos

A family of families" is the spirit that guides Porto Réccua Vinhos, created from the conversion of Caves Vale do Rodo in Régua.
Founded in 2013 on the initiative of Caves Vale do Rodo (which brought together the Adegas Cooperativas da Régua, Tabuaço and Armamar), Porto Réccua Vinhos was set up to manage the commercial side of the bottled wines produced by the parent company. The majority of the capital is held by the Caves and the rest by a group of partners and workers, totalling 200 shareholders.
In this business model, the co-operative, which has around 800 winegrowers, produces grapes for the brands marketed by Porto Réccua (Réccua Porto, Réccua Douro and Réccua Cocktails), which makes and bottles the wines.
Porto Réccua Vinhos has three brands: Réccua Porto - Port Wines, Réccua Douro - DOC Douro Wines and Réccua Cocktails - Port Wines aimed at the mixology, bar and cocktail segment.
The 'Senator' of the Douro!
Cabeça de Burro brand from Caves Vale do Rodo (which brought together the Adegas Cooperativas da Régua, Tabuaço and Armamar) in the Douro has a rich history dating back to 1959. Its peculiar name, "Cabeça de Burro", comes from the legend of a stubborn donkey that refused to climb the steep slope of the vineyards, symbolising the persistence and determination needed to grow grapes of exceptional quality in this mountainous region.
Over the years, Cabeça de Burro has become a classic, recognised for its elegance, complexity and ageing capacity. Produced with traditional Douro grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca, it is aged for 12 months in wooden vessels and at least 6 months in the bottle. It's a Douro with a classic profile.
Cabeça de Burro brand offers a full range of white and red Reserva wines, as well as the recent Bruto and Reserva Bruto sparkling wines.
