It was Paulo Sousa's grandfather, the company's manager, who started the wine business when, in the 1930s, he acquired an area of ​​vineyards that he cultivated and made wine to sell in bulk to local wineries. In 1990, Paulo Sousa's father, Sidónio, began bottling Baga under his own brand. After 20 years in the quality department of one of the largest companies in the region, Paulo Sousa dedicated himself 100% to the wine brand created by his father in 2009. Today, he has 12 hectares of his own vineyards, which are expanding, planted in clay-limestone soil in Ancas, Bairrada.
