“Return to the past…”

In the Old Douro, wines were mostly produced with a blend of white and red grapes, as this was the case with the vineyards of the time. Also because

lighter wines (open in colour), with more freshness, less tannins and lighter alcohol were appreciated.

The current generation, inspired by the conversations of their parents and grandparents about this type of wine, combined with the Quinta's location on

the half-slope at altitude (between 350m and 600m), type of grape varieties and altitude, decided to revive this ancestral method of production in Douro

Valley.

Although the inspiration is the memories of the past, the aim is to produce a very current Claret, where the balance between fruit and vegetable, volume

and acidity, freshness and tannins is sought. This harmony resulted in a gastronomic claret.
