Quinta da Lixa Reserva Alvarinho

This Alvarinho wine expresses the uniqueness and originality of our

terroir, with soils in which the mixture of granite very typical of the Wine Region Verde and the most typical schist of the Douro Region resulted in a wine of great freshness and minerality, long and structured with well-integrated wood of great quality. Total destemming and direct pressing of whole grapes, prolonged cold decanting. First third of fermentation in stainless steel vats in contact with whole bunches destemming at low temperature, thermal shock and passage to wood. Final fermentation in new French oak barrels (60%) and American oak ( 40% ). 225 liter barrels. Ageing with batonnage on total lees for 6 months. Aged in a bottle for 4 months. Long and structured wine, excellent acidity and great aromatic complexity, fruit very fresh tree, very discreet quality wood.
