Soalheiro Aguardente Bagaceira Alvarinho

Soalheiro Bagaceira Velha Brandy is produced by distilling the skins left over after pressing Alvarinho grapes at Soalheiro. In the past, all grape growers would carry out small-scale distillations for their own consumption, and we are no different. In the early days of our winery, João António Cerdeira created a high-quality bagaceira that aged for many years in oak barrels. After tasting it every year in a row, our winemaker decided that the Alvarinho Bagaceira Velha Brandy would benefit from at least 20 years of aging. The brandy ages in oak barrels, from which it draws its color and structure, complementing the intense aroma of the Alvarinho grape variety.
