Soalheiro Germinar Loureiro Vinhas Velhas

On the way to the Monção and Melgaço sub-region lies Valença, and just before entering this homeland of Alvarinho, we come across Monte do Faro. Two wine-growing regions—that of Alvarinho and that of Loureiro—are divided by a mountain that opens up (to Loureiro) and blocks (to Alvarinho) the Atlantic influence. The Soalheiro Germinar vineyard is over 30 years old and is located on a small plot that produces Loureiro grapes in small quantities, but with a very distinctive floral aroma, pronounced acidity, and a concentration of mineral flavors that sets it apart from the norm, making it highly gastronomic.
