Soalheiro Primeiras Vinhas Alvarinho

This Alvarinho originates from the plot that gives Soalheiro its name—our first vineyards, planted in 1974. Today, we also blend into this wine a selection of vines, all over 30 years old and scattered throughout the Monção and Melgaço region, tended by some of the 150 families who are part of our Winegrowers’ Club. The harvest of these old vines, which have joined our original vineyard, is done by hand and coordinated to take place on the same day, making Primeiras Vinhas not only an icon of Soalheiro but also a driving force for the preservation of old vines in our region.
