The summer of 2016 was hot and dry, giving the grapes an unusual concentration and depth. A decade later, what distinguishes this red wine is not its power, but the remarkable balance between freshness and liveliness.
It is one of the two red wines produced from the vineyards my father planted in 1961 — the year I was born. I have reserved only a very small number of bottles.
Sharing them with you means sharing something deeply personal: a living heritage that carries the spirit of Serenada.
GRAPE VARIETIES:
Castelão; Baga; Camarate; Bastardo
(vines planted in 1961 as a field blend)

TASTING NOTES:
Intense red fruit aromas, with a subtle and savoury touch, a long and intense finish, while remaining complex and delicate.
Extraordinary balance between freshness and liveliness.
