Herdade da Comporta winery is nested within the natural reserve of Sado’s Estuary, where the clear sky, the blue ocean, the rice fields, and the pine tree fragrance invite us to take part of this idyllic scenery. The wine cellar was built in 2002, giving birth to the new wine production sector. Currently with 35 hectares of vineyards, we are known for diversity with a wide range of wines, combining a state-of-the-art equipped with modern technology, however considering traditional know -how and manual harvesting to preserve natural flavors and pre-selected grape bunches.
Therefore, the Wine cellar´s whose simplicity combines with the landscape of natural features, which entire range of wines are produced locally to elevate the wine quality of the Setúbal area.
Wine tasting rooms and a store open daily from 10a.m to 7p.m, where you can enjoy the best nectar of the gods, paring with rigorously selected local snacks. Come and taste these delights, immersing yourself in a wine experience specially reserved for you.
All visitors have opportunity to go behind the scenes of wine production, which provides a truly authentic and unique experience.
The wines are distinguished by their aromatic qualities, with great aging capacity and structured, characteristics that result from the sandy soil conditions and climate influenced by the proximity of the sea, with personality, freshness, and complexity.
