Collection: Adega da Vidigueira

The Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba e Alvito was founded in 1960, but its history extends far beyond its 60 years of existence. It was created to protect the vineyards, the wine and the ancient lifestyle of this wine sub-region and to bring even more renown and quality to the wine produced here.
Over the years, an intense effort has been made to protect the grape varieties and production techniques. As a result, the winery's heritage includes indigenous grape varieties, perfected from generation to generation, among which Antão Vaz stands out. This grape variety, legitimized as Vidigueira's grape variety and the winery's inspirational muse, gives rise to an exceptional white wine whose notoriety earns it the title “The White of the Alentejo”.
With an approximate production of 6 million liters of wine per year and 8 million kilos of grapes per harvest, the result of around 1,500 hectares of vineyards belonging to its 300 members, it is today a modern and prominent winery. Never forgetting its origins, it is looking to the future, based on the people and the quality of the wine sub-region's terroir.
