Quinta do Pingão it’s more than a company, it is a family born in 1976, by the hands of entrepreneur Olímpio Marques Beato, 1st generation. On April 25, 1974, Mr. Olímpio, better known as ‘’Ti Pingão’’, his wife Rosa and his son Levy left Angola, where they had started roasting their first suckling pigs and opened the Pingão restaurant in Coimbra, in 1976. 15 years later, with Levy's wife, Paula Cristina, in charge of the kitchen, they moved to their hometown, Ançã, and the restaurant “O Verdadeiro Pingão” began here. The specialty is the much-desired suckling pig roasted in a wood-fired oven. It was in the mid-90s that the idea of starting to produce olive oil and wine for the restaurant emerged. We began to acquire our own vineyards and olive trees in Ançã, Bairrada and produce olive oil, white wine, red wine, sparkling wines and sparkling wines, with winemaking from the 2nd generation of the family, Levy Marques Beato. Already counting on 12 hectares of vineyards, mostly Maria Gomes, Bical, Baga and Touriga Nacional, we want to continue to grow with the respect that the vineyard, wine and gastronomy deserve. Taking his first steps in our family is Levy Parreiral, grandson of Mr. Olímpio, 3rd generation of the family, always willing to go further and please our customers.
