Collection: Terra d'Alter

Founded in 2004, Terras de Alter was born from a partnership between two companies with a long agricultural tradition in the region – Sociedade Agrícola das Antas and Sociedade Agrícola do Monte Barrão – combined with the experience and mastery of winemaker Peter Bright.
In 2008, aiming to gain autonomy in its production processes, the company invested in building its own winery in Vila de Fronteira.
Recognized as a benchmark in Portugal, the brand is present in major restaurants and wine shops from North to South of the country, acting as an ambassador for Alentejo wines. Internationally, the brand has a strong presence in various markets, with a clear focus on exports.
In 2021, Terras de Alter was acquired by Ímpar, S.A., marking the entry of new foreign investors and reinforcing the ambition to reach new heights.
Since August 2023, Susana Esteban has joined the Ímpar team as a consulting winemaker. She is internationally recognized and was named "Winemaker of the Year" by Revista de Vinhos, being the only woman to date to receive this distinction. The winemaking is supported by José Reis, the winery's resident winemaker.
A team deeply knowledgeable about the sector and the terroir are the main ingredients for the success of Ímpar, S.A.'s wine project, which brings together history, know-how, and exceptional conditions to establish the Alto Alentejo as a territory of great wines.
