Adega da Gaveta Red 2023

Adega da Gaveta was born from the desire to showcase the most authentic character of the Tejo: straightforward wines, true to the vineyard and made with minimal intervention. This red is made from a family vineyard, planted and cared for since the grandfather’s time, in an area shaped by the influence of the mountains and the proximity of the Castelo de Bode Dam. This setting brings cool nights and more balanced ripening, helping preserve freshness and consistency even in hotter years.

In the blend, we bring together the four grape varieties left by the grandfather, each contributing differently to the final balance - combining fruit, freshness and structure. The extended ageing period of 14 months allowed for natural integration and softening of the tannins, resulting in a very harmonious wine. And thanks to the rainy 2023 vintage, it reaches only 13% alcohol, reinforcing its elegant and highly food-friendly profile.
