Monte Branco Red

Climate: Continental Mediterranean. Hot, dry days with large daily temperature variations. Soils: Schist and Limestone. Grape Varieties: 70% Alicante Bouschet; 20% Aragonez and 10% Trincadeira. Winemaking: Hand-harvested. Total destemming. Pre-fermentation cold maceration for 3 days. Fermentation in lagares (traditional stone vats) with temperature control at 26/27ºC. Aging: 1 year in 300L French oak barrels (80% new).
