Collection: Monte da Bica

Since 1919, the Pinto Gouveia family has proudly owned this 350-hectare estate, known for its rich heritage within cork and cereal production. Following a strategy of expanding business areas, 2005 marks the start of vineyard cropping with the intent of wine making. The Monte da Bica wines were born, out of a balanced combination between tradition and innovation.
The Pinto Gouveias’ enduring fondness for wine has turned into a legacy passed on to current owner Manuela Pinto Gouveia. Her late father, Alberto Pinto Gouveia, left behind a 5-hectare family vineyard dedicated to the production of select, small-batched wines. Also inherited were the fervor going into the production of every single bottle of Monte da Bica wines, the rigorous attention to detail, the profound affection for the land and an overall commitment to excellence.
